Internet in everyday life study

This study was about observing and understanding how the internet fits into the everyday life of people at different life stages:

  • What do they use in their everyday life and why?
  • How well does it match their needs?
  • How can (more of) the Yahoo! consumer portal become part of their everyday life?

This international user research was conducted by GFK-NOP for Yahoo! Europe. Savigny User Research carried out the research in Germany for the Social Solutions Global Consortium.

  • A seven-days diary study allowed us to take a look at weekly routines and usage patterns and to put findings into perspective.
  • In-home interviews and observations allowed us to take a deep look at participants' everyday life and internet usage.
